Fortnite’s weapon collection continues to evolve with the addition of Chainsaw as a part of the Fortnitemares 2024 event. You may also have spotted this weapon in Leatherface’s hands if you’ve carefully watched the Fortnimares 2024 trailer.

Epic Games now requires you to find this Chainsaw weapon and damage the opponents using it in order to unlock Halloween rewards in Fortnite. Here’s how you can complete this task.

Chainsaw is a rare weapon that can be found on the ground or by opening chests in Fortnite. However, since it’s a rare weapon, you won’t always find the weapon from the ground loot.

So the guaranteed way to obtain Chainsaw is by purchasing it from the Andy Fangerson NPC in the Grim Gate for 300 gold bars.

To complete the quest, you have to deal 1,500 damage with Chainsaw. As you might expect, it’s a weapon that you cannot use from a distance. Instead, you have to be really close to the opponent in order to use it.

Simply assume you’re using your harvesting tool to damage opponents. Each successful hit with Chainsaw deals a whopping 1,500 damage which means it’s a single-shot weapon.

However, it’s important to mention that the weapon requires approx. half a second to shoot, which makes it harder to use it against enemies having a gun in their hands.

We suggest completing this task in duo or squad mode so that your teammates can distract the enemy and you can get the job done. Once you’ve completed the primary objective, you’ll be rewarded with 20,000 XP.

But that’s not even all. You can also use Chainsaw in Fortnite to fast travel. In order to do that, simply put it into the ground to propel yourself forward at frightening speeds.
