New battery
Milwaukee has expanded their outdoor tool lineup with the battery-powered M18 Fuel Top Handle Chainsaw, and the M18 Fuel Brush Cutter.
"Our dedication to the tree service professional continues to fuel our drive for innovation in this market, revolutionizing the user experience," says Tony Buxton, group product manager for Milwaukee Tool. "By conducting hundreds of hours of research to understand the efficiencies and inefficiencies of professionals in the field, we saw the significant safety and productivity compromises users need to make to drive sufficient power and performance in demanding removal applications."
These chainsaws operate at 7,700 RPM, with a chain gauge of .043 inches and a low-profile chain pitch at .325 inches.
The cordless, 18V battery-powered chainsaw completely eliminates pull-starts, reduces noise levels and emissions, and minimizes regular engine maintenance.
The M18 Fuel Top Handle Chainsaw is available in four variations:

The brush cutter is designed for professional landscaping, with the ability to reach full throttle in under one second, and clear away thick brush. According to Milwaukee, this brush cutter is capable of sustaining power under heavy load without bogging down.
The brush cutter has a cutting swath between 14 and 16 inches, with a line diameter of .08 or .095 inches. The trimmer has a bump feed head, and a blade diameter of 9 inches. The tool is 72 inches in total length.
The tool makes use of Redlink Plus Intelligence, enabling full-circle communication between tool, battery, and charger, and constantly monitors this internal network to maintain ideal conditions. A two-speed control feature operates between 0-4,900 RPM and 0 to 6,200 RPM, helping to provide maximum run-time in low applications where less power is needed.
A dual shoulder strap harness, and lightweight 11.4 pound design are intended to give users more comfort when working long hours.
